and how updating the science can support clearer understanding, stronger communication, and greater professional credibility.
Most of us want to be precise and responsible in how we explain what we do. But staying up to date with research takes time, and not everyone has the background or resources to track it down.
As a result, a number of myths and misconceptions have spread across the field, ideas that often sound scientific, but don’t reliably reflect current evidence.
The consequences are tangible.
Somatic work is too easily dismissed as “woo-woo”, research funding is hard to secure, and many practitioners struggle to communicate the value of their work — especially in interdisciplinary or clinical contexts.
This free video series is our contribution to this conversation.

Many of us inherit ways of explaining what we do...
And sometimes those explanations:
1. feel incomplete or overly simplistic
2. don’t hold up well in clinical or interdisciplinary contexts
3. sound “scientific”… but aren’t actually aligned with current evidence
Â
If you’ve ever wondered “Is this really accurate?”
— this series is for you.
